Welcome to Mixed Method Research in Applied Linguistics
Mixed Method Research in Applied Linguistics (MMRAL) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published biannually by Lorestan University, Iran. The journal provides a platform for the publication of original and rigorous research in Applied Linguistics and related interdisciplinary fields. MMRAL primarily focuses on studies that employ mixed method research designs to investigate language-related issues. The journal welcomes research that integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches in a coherent, transparent, and methodologically sound manner. The journal also considers high-quality qualitative and quantitative studies that make significant theoretical, methodological, empirical, pedagogical, or interdisciplinary contributions to Applied Linguistics. MMRAL welcomes submissions in areas including, but not limited to, Applied Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Corpus Stylistics, Discourse Analysis, Critical Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics, Cultural Linguistics, Language Assessment, TESOL, Second Language Acquisition, Computer-Assisted Language Learning, Artificial Intelligence in Language Education, Digital Humanities, Translation Studies, and Forensic Linguistics. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by a double-anonymous peer-review process. Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scholarly quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope. As an open-access journal, MMRAL provides immediate access to its published content and supports the dissemination of scholarly knowledge among researchers, educators, language professionals, translators, and other stakeholders. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and research integrity.
